Your father gave me my first job for summer while I was going to junior college in 1966-68 and Christmas seasons several years. What a wonderful man he was with a big smile and a friendly hello each time I saw him. My Mom also worked with your Dad for many years (Irene Galvin) and sends along her sympathy to the family.
Cherish all the memories you have of your wonderful husband/father/grandfather.

Dear Bennett Family,
Please accept our deepest symapthy in the passing of your father. He was such a wonderful man. He hired me for my first job out of high school. Though I did not work at Bennett Brothers long, I did enjoy the time that I was there. The employees were always treated as family. We were one of the many couples who met at Bennett's and married.
We enjoyed seeing him at the picnics. Always with a smile and his camera. What wonderful pictures he took. We know that he will be missed by not only his family but also the Bennett Brothers employees.

So sorry to hear about Gail's passing over the weekend. He was an outstanding man and will be missed by all.
He will always be known as the Legend behind the Bennett Blue Book.
Walking through the lobby of 30 E. Adams St. will always remind me of this unforgettable man and the reason I am there today.

I was so sorry to read of Mr. Bennett's death. I worked in the credit department at Bennett Brothers in the mid to late 60's and have many fond memories and enduring friendships from that time. My husband and I visited Bennett's two years ago and Mr Bennett personally gave us a tour of each department. So many changes! It was great to see
some familiar faces and I am so happy now that we stopped in when we
did. He was a kind man when I worked for him and his kindness was still
evident as he took time out of his busy schedule to greet a former
employee in such a wonderful way. My condolences are extended to the
entire family.
