Gail Anstett-Patrick Obituary

Anstett-Patrick, Gail

In memory of Gail C. Anstett-Patrick, JD

Beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, independent attorney, and longtime advocate for others, Gail was renowned for her quick wit and compassion.

A three-time cancer survivor, Gail fought many brave battles.

A Renaissance woman, Gail painted, welded, sculpted, baked, gardened, and could fix pretty much anything.

Gail volunteered for many causes, including fighting for special education classes and shutting down Medicaid fraud. Most recently she worked with Ask a Lawyer and Lawyer in the Library for the Kane County Bar Association.

She is survived by her children, Aaron, Joshua, and Benjamin; daughters-in-law Jen and Lesley: grandchildren, Molly, Cody, Avery, Cooper, and Rae; and great-grandchildren Wilder and Theodore.

My thoughts and prayers are with Gail's family. Gail and I met as opposing counsel on a case over 20 years ago and we have been friends ever since. She was a wealth of knowledge and a fierce opponent. But, her family was everything to her. I felt like I knew her children and grandchildren, as I knew so much about them! She will be missed. Godspeed Gail.

I had the pleasure of knowing Gail as a practicing attorney. I also volunteered with her with the KCBA. Gail was such a strong woman-- she had an opinion and was not afraid to make it known! She was a trail blazer and an example for all women. She will be dearly missed. My most sincear condolences to her family. May she rest in peace.
