Black, Freddie J. Age 85, late of Merrillville, IN and formerly of Hegewisch, passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2015. Beloved husband of the late LaVerne (nee Scharneck); loving father of Frederick Black, Deborah (Louis) Toth, Dennis (Janet) Black, Sharran Narug, Connie (John) Beniac, Donald (Dedra) Black, Mary (Mark) Banaszak and Kimberly (Jeffrey) Turnbull; devoted grandfather and great-grandfather of many; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents and many brothers and sisters. Mr. Black was retired from the U.S. Army.
