Frank Klinger Obituary

Klinger, Frank G. Age 80 of Arlington Heights, passed away peacefully in Hospice Care on December 5, 2015. He was born February 15, 1935 in Chicago. He served in the Army, owned gas stations in Des Plaines and later was a truck driver. In 1962, he married his beloved wife, Kathryn (nee Swiatowy), who preceded him in death in 1996. Loving father of Frank (Ginger Konieczski) Klinger, Barbara (James) Javorcic and David Klinger; proud grandpa of David "DJ" and Heather Klinger and Ella Javorcic and great-granddaughter Aubrey Ritchie; fond uncle to many; devoted brother of Lorraine (late Fran) Moriarty and George (late Carol) and Richard (Rita) Klinger; good friend to brother-in-law Michael Swiatowy. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Ruth (nee Miller) Klinger and his brother, John (Roseann) and sister, Ruth (late Cliff) Likes. Frank was happy driving, scrapping and spending time with his family and many friends, including Class of 1953 buddies from Cardinal Stritch High School. Visitation Wednesday from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Kolssak Funeral Home, 189 S. Milwaukee Ave. (2 blocks south of Dundee Road), and will continue Thursday at 10:00 a.m., followed by an 11:00 a.m. Life Celebration Service. Interment All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Cure Alzheimer's Fund, 34 Washington Street, Suite 200, Wellesley Hills, MA 02481 or The Michael J. Frank was a wonderful friend to my dad and to our entire family. My condolences. He was a very a kind, happy, generous and loyal man. My Dad valued his friendship greatly. Our deepest sympathies.

I will miss all the family get to togethers we all had through the years. We all had a great time during our years at Cardinal Stritch High School.
