He was always a wonderful father and very thoughtful in his everyday life. During our college years, he was extremely nice to me and I remember him fondly.

We were sorry to see your dad's obituary in the Chicago Tribune. The entire Walter Lessner family extends its deepest sympathy. We remember all the good years living as neighbors on Larchmont Street. Your mom and dad will always hold a special place in our childhood memories. My dad passed away 3 years ago so I share your heartache. Please know that we would have attended your dad's wake but my grandmother also passed away this week and her funeral and wake are at the same time. In fact, we'll probably be crossing paths the same cemetery on Friday. Our prayers are with you at this difficult time.
