To the Bauer family, I would like to give my condolences to you. My brothers and I went to St. Pat's 82' 84' and 93'. I had coach Bauer as my gym teacher and homeroom teacher. I can't tell you how many times I would come home from school just smiling because of some of the silly things that happened in homeroom. I laughed so hard sometimes it would make me cry. Coach Bauer was a great man and I will never forget him. He gave me sincere support when my father passed away and would always ask me if I was ok or if I needed anything. You have lost your husband father and grandfather but his name will always live on through all of you. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Bauer family. As coach would say "run it up the gut!" Gods blessings to you Coach Bauer, I will definitely never forget you. Thanks for the memories!

I want to express my sincere condolences to Frank's family. I taught and worked with Frank at St. George. We often talked about teaching and coaching at St. George HS. He was a grand teacher, great coach, and a better friend. My prayers and good thoughts are with Frank's Family at this time.

Frank - my (English Department) chair for a time during my forty-plus years at Saint Patrick's - was a grammarian's grammarian, priding himself (with justification) on successfully working with underclassmen as they mastered a structural awareness of their language. Known as a devoted football and track coach, Frank also took his classroom responsibilities as an English teacher very seriously.
Don't greet the Lord, Frank, believing those of us left here on earth knew you only as a coach. I also knew you as a classroom mentor and loyal friend.

I was very sorry to hear of Frank's passing. I worked and taught with him for nearly 20 years at Saint Patrick High School in Chicago until I was assigned to the Christian Brothers headquarters in Rome, Italy. Frank was a true gentleman in every sense of the word. My condolences to the entire family and may Frank rest in peace.
