Gorman, Francis
Francis C Gorman Jr of Wheaton, formally of Lombard, died September 7, 2021 of natural causes at 90 years old. Born to Francis C Gorman Sr and Margaret Redell Gorman in South Chicago where he and his family were active members of St Patrick's Parish. Francis attended Mount Carmel HS and went on to become a graduate of Michigan State. He was a Veteran of the Korean War and served honorably as a member of the US Navy. A resident of Lombard, Il for over 30 years where he was a coach for several sports teams and a member of Sacred Heart Parish. During his retirement he loved traveling with his beloved wife, Rita.
Preceded in death by his wife, Rita, died June 2021, his parents, and his sister, Margaret. He is survived by his brother Patrick (Sharon) and sister Rita (Charles). A caring father with a sarcastic wit he is also survived by his sons Michael (Marianne), Tim (Christy), Dan, and Dennis and daughters Sheila and Therese. He thoroughly enjoyed and loved his grandchildren Samantha, Bruce, Christopher, Jake, Emalee, Cole and Darby. As well as great grandchildren Sage. Izabella, Emma and Ava. Francis enjoyed being with people and created wonderful memories with his many nieces and nephews.
A memorial mass will be held on September 18th, 2021 at St. James Church in Glen Ellyn. A short visitation will take place at 9:00am followed by the mass at 10:00am.
