Francis Gallerani Obituary

Brockton Francis L. Gallerani, age 78 years, of Brockton, died June 10, 2008, at New England Medical Center, Boston. He was the husband of Elsie Sonia (Saulnier) Gallerani of Brockton. Born in Kingston, Nov. 12, 1929, he was a son of the late Ferdinand M. and Annie (Morin) Gallerani. He was a graduate of Kingston High School and attended the Berklee School of Music, where he studied drums and percussion. He also studied drums with close friends, Billy Flanagan of Brockton and Stan Spector of Brookline. He was a professional drummer for most of his life and played for Plymouth Local No. 281 and many bands in the New England area. Survivors include his wife, four daughters, Bonny and her husband Michael Durkin of Croydon, N.H., Cheryl and her husband Jeffrey Fisher of Rutland, Vt., Sharon and her husband Richard Allard of Hyannis, Vickie and her husband Keith Roza of Middleboro; one sister, Barbara Anthony of Plymouth; four grandchildren, Danielle Hudson-Durkin of Lebanon, N.H., Joshua Fisher of Florida, Donny Allard of Hyannis, Dylan and his wife Casey Roza of Middleboro. A time of visitation and remembrances, to which relatives and friends are invited to attend, will be held Saturday, June 14, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., in the Caffrey Towers, 755 Crescent St., Brockton.
