Frances Zielinski Obituary

Zielinski, Frances loving daughter of the late Frank and Catherine Zielinski, dear sister of Peter J., Frank (Eleanor), Genevieve Stanczyk, Helen Patyk, Mary Cargill and the late Edward Zielinski, loving and caring aunt and great-aunt of many grateful nieces and nephews including friends and faculty members of the Little Sisters of the Poor Nursing Home. Lying-in-state Friday, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday, 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., at the Little Sisters of the Poor Nursing Home, 2325 N. Lakewood Ave., Chicago, IL. Funeral Mass Saturday, 11 a.m., at the Little Sisters of the Poor Chapel. Interment St. Adalbert. Funeral arrangements by: Casey-Laskowski & Sons Funeral Home, 773-777-6300.

Dear Auntie Frances, I would like to share a few fond memories of how I spent some of my times together with you. In my childhood days you were always very kind and understanding when I came to your house in Chicago for a visit. You didn't yell at me when I got into your stuff. You made my christmas one year. I remember you as a quiet lady with all the best tasting breads and very different Polish foods that I had never eaten at home. I thought you were rich. You introduced me to Chicago's very own corner hotdog vendor. My very first catholic mass with you I remember asking you what was that thing on your head. I couldn't understand a word the Priest said but I know without you I would have missed out on all these interesting things. Thanks for being a wonderful Aunt. I will truly miss you.
