Hundt, Frances Louise

Frances Louise Hundt, age 84, a longtime resident of Plainfield, IL and formerly of Park Falls, WI, passed away peacefully on December 5, 2023, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on July 4, 1939 in Chicago, IL and raised on the Southside. Fran is survived by her loving children, Mary Sue Larson, Barbie (the late Armando) Aguilar, and Jimmy (Laura) Hundt, III; her adored grandchildren, Cody Larson, Molly Aguilar, Jimmy Hundt IV, and Haley Hundt; her dear brother, Ralph (Celia) Krahn; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jimmy Lee Hundt; her parents, Ralph and Mildred Krahn; and her sisters, Barbara Bliss and Eleanor Stewart. Fran was a skilled roller-derby girl and played with the Chicago Westerners for several years. She loved to play Bingo, visit the casinos and be around people. Fran overcame great challenges throughout her life and faced them with unbelievable courage. She lived every day for her family and her love for them will live forever in their hearts. Visitation will be Monday, December 11, 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the Overman-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, corner of Routes 30 & 59, Plainfield. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 12, 10:00 AM at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 2500 Arbeiter Rd., Joliet. Interment will be private.
