Fonda Ray Creasy

Chesapeake - Fonda R. Creasy, 64, passed away peacefully after a long illness on August 11, 2014. Born on October 1, 1949 in Norfolk, VA to the late Otha D. and Addie L. Creasy, he was a mechanic at Beach Marine Services. He was predeceased by his brothers, Dennis G. Creasy, Gary A. Creasy, Sr. and Richard D. Creasy, Sr. Fonda served in the US Army in Germany. He loved camping, gardening and his animals.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Sue Ray Creasy; his brothers, James C. Creasy and wife Ruth of Advance, NC, Barry L. Creasy of Va. Beach and Gregory S. Creasy and wife Penny of South Mills, NC; his sisters, Sandra D. Carraway of Chesapeake and Sharon C. Lauterbach and husband Bill of Va. Beach; uncles, Patrick H. Mattox and wife Maxine, Gene Mattox and wife Maxine and Forrest Mattox, all of Altavista, VA; cousins, Donna Williams and Terry of Chesapeake; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A graveside service will be held at 11 AM Thursday, August 14, 2014 in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens by Rev. Waverly Smith. Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel is handling these arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Portsmouth Humane Society.

The family is especially appreciative of all the care from the nurses in the trauma unit at Norfolk General Hospital.
