Retired K-Mart Manager AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into rest on Saturday, January 18, 2003, at his daughters residence in North Augusta, Mr. Floyd William Wabel, Jr., of Lonsdale Drive, Augusta. Funeral services will be held today at Hatcher Funeral Home at 2:00 PM with Rev. Wayne Bruner officiating. Commital service will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Mr. Wabel is survived by his daughters: Terrie Martin of Baltimore, MD, Sherry Watkins of Atlanta, Denise Boyd of Lexington, KY, Joni Coward of N. Augusta, Dawn Pica of Payne, AL and Penny Wabel of Atlanta; his sister: Maxine Westphal of Grand Island, NE; 13 grandchildren and 10 Great-grandchildren. Mr. Wabel was born in Grand Island, NE to Floyd and Olive Wabel, Sr. He was a veteran of WW II and also the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Grand Island, the Scottish Rite Legion of Honor Shriners of Augusta, a past president of the Legion of Honor and a Baptist.
