Florence Dombrowski Obituary

Dombrowski, Florence (nee Plebanski), age 88, late of the East Side. Beloved wife of the late Chester, loving mother of Joan (Curtis, Ret. Sgt. CPD) Gray, Chester "Leo" (Victoria), George (Jacquelyn), Frank and James (Rose) Dombrowski, devoted grandmother of Leon, Lark Gray, Christopher, Jessica Gray, CPD, John (Colleen), Rebecca (Kevin, Sgt. CPD) Navarro, Sandra Dombrowski, Debra (Ken) Donnellan, Susan Dombrowski, Jamie (Elizabeth) and Maxmillion Dombrowski, cherished great-grandmother of Paige, Jake, Katelyn, Daniel, Quinton, Lucas, Madison Dombrowski, Maryam Judeh, James and Nicholas Navarro, adopted grandmother of Timothy "23" Fisher, David Stibich, Michael Martus and Kerry Anderson. Also survived by her brother, Bruno (Victoria) Plebanski, mutual birthday friend, Robert "Red Shakey" Waszak, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Preceded in death by sister, Jessie Staszak; brother, Casey, Robert, Joseph, Alex and Bernard Plebanski. Florence was matriarch of Club 81 Too, 13157 Ave. M, Hegewisch, 1981 until present and the founder along with her late husband, Chester of Club 81, 81st & Exchange, South Chicago in 1945 till it closed in 1981. Visitation Sunday, 1 to 9 p.m. Funeral services Monday, January 10, 2005, at 9:30 a.m., from the Elmwood Chapel, 11200 S. Ewing Ave., Chicago, IL, to Church of the Annunciata. Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. 773-731-2749.

I am so sorry to hear of Aunt Florence's passing. As my sister, Nancy, stated above, Aunt Florence always made us feel welcome and hand a warm and generous heart. She was a much loved member of the family. I have wonderful memories of her. Much love to all of you at this time.
