Sincerest condolences to all family and friends of Flo, from the family of Sam and Phyllis Sonshine. What a wonderful woman! Both Maurie and Flo ARE Superdawg to our family including Sam and Phyllis' grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A trip to Chicago was never officially begun or truly completed unless we stopped at the Devon & Milwaukee location en route to AND from O'Hare! It was a true experience and genuine blessing when Maurie and/or Flo were on site for hugs and kisses! All of us are deeply sorry for your loss, but we know that Maurie and Flo are holding hands once again. May the Lord bless, protect and guide you as your family remembers Flo's wonderful life and her positive impact on all who met and knew her.

Superdawg, Supershakes, Superburgers and on and on but mainly she was a Super Aishes Chail and will be very much missed and remembered.

My sincere condolences to the family.

I met Flo in 1959 when Abe, whom my father worked for, suggested that I might be useful at Superdawg for the summer. I interviewed with Flo and Maurie at Abe's apartment in Albany Park. I got the job for the summer and was the ruler of the potato slicer (and Superdawg; along with Beefy 19 used MANY potatoes.

It was an enjoyable summer with Flo visiting frequently. She treated my fellow employees and me with smiles and kind words. There was never the feeling of be careful the boss is here. It was, oh good, Flo is here. I was sorry when Labor Day came and I was off to school at Champaign.

I always thought the Miskas (and I knew many of them) were always friendly and outgoing. Flo learned well from her parents.

There was one stipulation to my employment that maybe Rosa might share.

Our deepest condolences to the Berman Family. Thank you for giving Chicago the best hot dogs in the world. My late husband and his doctor, two hot dog lovers, would name every hot dog place in the city, and decided that Super Dog was the very best. And, believe me, they tried them all. Our children and grandchildren are enjoying them now, also. What a legacy you have left to your family, "Flo", and the rest of Chicago and the world.

So sorry for your loss. Flo and Maury were great friends and neighbors on Ridgeway Av. I have wonderful memories of growing up and knowing you. Superdawg has always been a favorite place for my family and I now take my grandchildren whenever I can.
