Berkson, Florence (nee Edelman), age 91, beloved wife of the late Jacque, loving mother of Merle (Richard) Lewis, the late Edward (Marcie) Berkson, devoted grandmother of Steven (Marni) Lewis, Lori (Greg) Levin, Jamie Lewis, David (Pam) Lewis, Hugh (Pam) Berkson, Sarah (Dr. David) Turell, adored great-grandmother of Jessica and Lindsay Lewis, Taylor, Max and Jackson Perlmutter, Ashley and Jay Levin, Spencer and Mason Lewis, Hannah and Matthew Turell, Jacque and Sam Berkson, sister of Jerry (Marcia) Edelman of California and the late Davida Rischall. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions to ORT or to Hadassah in memory of Florence Berkson. Service Monday, 1 p.m., at the Weinstein Funeral Home North Shore Chapel, 111 Skokie Blvd., Wilmette. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery, Skokie, IL 847-256-5700.

I wish to extend my sincere condolences to Florence's family. She was a wonderful woman. I first met her in the 1940's and have always admired her. While there is a great sense of loss at her passing, one can take comfort in the knowledge that she lived a long and full life, surrounded by her family and many friends.
