Israel, Fay Belle (nee Pielet), age 77, beloved wife of 52 years of the late Isaac "Zeke", kind loving mother of Elaine (Bruce) Teitelbaum and Randall Israel, cherished grandmother of Jordyn and Dayna, devoted daughter of the late Harry and Goldie (nee Smilovitz) Pielet, dearest sister of Freda Smith, Irene Brickel, Sophie Pollack, Irving Pielet and the late Ruth Koppel, Pesche Wallach, Archie Pielet, Seymour Pielet, Phil Pielet, Leonard Pielet, and Sam Pielet, sister-in-law to Max and the late Linda Israel, special aunt to Marty (Barbara) and Karyn Israel, loving aunt to many more nieces and nephews. Fay was very dear to many lifelong friends. Chapel service Monday, 2:30 p.m. at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Rd., Arlington Heights. Interment Shalom Memorial Park. Fay was part of our group of university of miami
fans who attended the Miami Hurricanes football
games every night when they played at the the old
historic Orange Bowl. That was back in Sept. 1951 to
Jan. 1952 when I was a sophomore at the business school before I returned to Chicago to attend Roosevelt University. I remember her as being
very athletic and a great fan of the Miami Hurricanes football team.
