Fabbi, Fabio Age 92. Decorated Veteran U.S. Army WWII awarded three combat medals in the Philippines. Lifetime Member of VFW Post 2791 Tinley Park. 4th Degree member of C.C Boyle Knight of Columbus Council in Tinley Park. Longtime member of St. George Parish. Born in Homewood, IL in 1924 to immigrant parents, married his sweetheart Ann in 1948 and raised five children. Owned his own electrical testing and fault finding business. He was an Electrical Foreman for the U.S. Government at Argonne National Laboratory and he was also the electrical inspector for the Village of Tinley Park. Fabio was an amateur 'Ham" radio operator (call letters W9EYO), private pilot, collected antique cars, portrait painter and avid golfer. After his retirement he volunteered at Oak Forest Hospital for 15 years and was a Master Gardener for the University of Illinois. Beloved husband of the late Ann Fabbi (nee Pfrommer); loving father of Ronald (Barbara), Paul (Rosemary), John (Addie), Maryann (Terry) Nolan and Rosemary (Matt) Anderson; cherished grandfather of Ronald Jr., Lukas, Maria, Nathan, Annmarie, Christopher, Danyelle, Sarah, Paul, Eric, Corrine, Mark and many great-grandchildren; dear brother of Fabina and uncle to many nieces and nephews.
