Berns, Evelyn (nee Polen), 80, dearly beloved wife of Jerome "Jerry" Berns, devoted mother of Donnalyn (Dr. Chuck) Williams and Marla (Jeff) Moore, beloved stepmother of Harmon Berns and Hilary Star, loving grandmother of Sara, dear cousin and very special friend of many. Patron Member JWV Chicago Post 153, past Vice-President JWV Post 282 Auxilliary and longtime supporter of The City Of Hope. Funeral services Friday, 2 p.m. at THE PISER CHAPEL, 9200 N. Skokie Blvd. (at Church St) Skokie. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions, made in Evelyn's name to Jewish War Veterans, Chicago Post 153, 2722 W.
