Evar Christell Obituary
Christell Jr., Evar 86, of Arlington Heights, formerly of Northfield, December 16, 2006. Loving husband of the late Marjorie (nee Olson), dear father of Diane Steichen (friend, Bob Haas), Jim Christell (friend, Diane Sutton) and Carol (Ken) Holt, cherished grandfather of Amy (Mark) Vandenburgh, Lisa and Laura Steichen, Douglas Christell, Kenneth (Patricia) Holt Jr. and Krista (Dave) Heffner great-grandfather of two, dear brother of the late Thomas (Arlene) Christell Sr., fond uncle to many nieces and nephews. Memorial service Saturday, January 20, 2007, 1 p.m., at the Lutheran Church of the Ascension, 460 Sunset Ridge Rd. (at Willow Rd.), Northfield. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Northeastern Illinois, 410 S. Hager Ave., Barrington, IL 60010 or the American Cancer Society, 820 Davis St., Suite 340, Evanston, IL 60201. To Evar Christell Jr. Family Please Accept My Deepest Sympathy if your Loss .
Evar Hung around with a Brother of My Friend Frank (Babe Virzi) His Name was Joe Verzi he lived on Whipple Street ,as did I , in Chicago WE had some good times together .
I remember Evar as a Very Nice Young Man I'm 82 now so he was a Little Older Than I .(WE all went off to War in WW2) I last Met Him in The 1950's When as A Chicago Police Officer ,I was In a Police Squadrol That got Hit by a Yellow Cab and WE rolled Over and skid about 1/2 Block on it's Side . We had some Minor injuries . In the Court Settlement
I Met Evar again as He Represented the Cab Company, He apoligized to Me for Haveing to Act in their Behalf against Me but I told Him I under stand ,WE got along Very well and I did receive a Settlement . Evar Acted Very Professinal and we were still Friends ,May God Bless Him and your Family Patrick Dyra Lena Illinois 61048
