Eva Horsley Obituary

Eva Rae Perdue Horsley, 86 , of Glade Hill, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 20, 2006. Loving wife, mother and grandmother, wonderful cook and gardener, that brought love into every ones life that she touched and was an inspiration for all. The Worlds Greatest Grandmother, Mrs. Horsley was preceded in death by her first husband, Hubert Smith; her parents, DeWitt and Grace McBride Perdue; a brother, Randolph Perdue and two great-granddaughters, Ashley and Shannon Motley. Surviving to cherish her memory are her husband of 30 years, Earnest Hylton Horsley; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Swanson Thurman; grandchildren, Regina and Toney Motley, Kim and Cindy Thurman and Randy and Elaine Thurman; great-grandchildren, Tiffany, Jack and Lindsey Thurman, Angela Motley and Heather Thurman; great-greatgrandchild, Morgan Motley; and sister and brother-in-law, Pauline and Johnny Perdue; brother and sister-in-law, Otie and Marie Perdue; sister-in-law, Zula Perdue; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted from the chapel of Lynch Funeral Home on Saturday, September 23, 2006 at 2 p.m. with the Rev. James Graham and Pastor Eddie Hawks officiating. Interment to follow at Franklin Memorial Park. Friends may call after 2 p.m. on Friday, September 22, 2006 at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. and at other times at the home, 750 Byrds Mill Road, Glade Hill. Arrangements by Lynch Funeral Home, Rocky Mount, Va.
