Dawn -
I have many fond memories of your Mom and our unforgetable days together at Jack and Jill. She was a wonderful person with a great sense of humor. She and I always saw eye to eye (of course I am much taller now);-)
My mother-in-law Margaret Sailor taught music for a while with your Dad and has often spoke fondly of that time.
Both your parents were exceptional people and will not only be missed but more importantly they will be remembered with great love.
Best Regards.

Dawn and family my deepest sympathy on your loss of your mother. What a great lady and a great teacher.... I was at McKinley in Cicero 1972-1974 I had her for 1st grade and she moved with our class to second grade she liked us so much. Over the years she kept in touch with my mom and myself through Christmas cards and phone calls. Everytime I hear On Top of the World and Oh you Beautiful Doll I think of the fun days back in grammer school. It was really nice to get together with her back in the late 80's for lunch with me and my mom at Water Tower then later in the early 90's
for a mini reunion of about 8 of us from her 72-74 class at her apartment on Chestnut...
She was a special lady! She always talked about you and all your accomplishments.
My thoughts and prayers are with you ...

I just wanted to let you know what a special teacher your mom was, I had her as a 1st and 2nd grade teacher in 72-74 at Mckinley grade school. I can still remember the thrill of being picked as the special kid for the day and getting the star on the forehead, the kiss with pink lipstick and the spray of perfume. I can also remember the performances our class did of Hello Dolly and On Top of the World. These are memories I will treasure forever. She was a great teacher. My prayers and thoughts are with you. Dawn, I was just telling my son, Mike about your mom yesterday (Sunday). She was my second grade teacher at McKinley Grade School back in 1962. As a matter of fact, you were my partner when we went to see Bozo Circus. We also used to go and see you in your plays down at Jack 'n Jill. We saw Babes in Toyland and Peter Pan. I remember your mom to the tee. When we were good, she would give us a kiss on the cheek with fresh lipstick. She was my most admired teacher I ever had. Too bad there are not more teachers around like her. Please accept my deepest sympathy for your loss. She will be dearly missed.
