Eugene M. Riordan, 86, of Fort Myers Beach, FL, formerly of Palos Heights, IL, passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2022 with his family by his side. Beloved father of Denis (Kathleen), Timothy (Kelly), Colleen Riordan and Matthew (Jennifer) Riordan; Incredible grandfather of Connor, Tate, Sean, Morgan, Megan, Eugene, Thomas, Phoebe and Rudi Anne Mae Riordan; Husband of late Mary Helen Riordan for 28 years; brother of Cornelius (Kay), Gerald (Lori), the late Anne Mae (Philip) Basic, Denis, John (Betty), Elizabeth (William) Costello, Margaret Riordan; brother-in-law of James (Maureen) Meenan; dear uncle to many nieces and nephews and loyal friend to VIS KIDS, St. Rita High School Class of 1953, Army veteran, Retired partner of Ski-Dan Plumbing, Proud member of Plumbers Union 130 and neighbors near and far. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at 11:30 am at St. Christina Catholic Church, 3342 W 111th St, Chicago, IL 60655. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Misericordia Heart of Mercy, 6300 N Ridge Ave., Chicago, IL 60660

Condolences to the entire Riordan family, including Gene's brother Neil. I fondly recall the brotherly duo of the 'Dan' in Ski-Dan. I'm sure a lot of unforgettable memories were packed into Gene's 86 years of living. May he rest in peace.

I knew Gene from working with him through Ford City Bank/Cole Taylor, then Prairie Bank. He was one of the kindest, nicest gentlemen, I have ever met. I am sorry for your loss.
