Plucinski, Eugene "Gene" age 94, of Los Angeles, California, formerly of Palos Hills, Illinois, beloved husband of the late Sophie, devoted father of Daniel (Wilma), Regina "Ginny" (Dave) Lemert, the late Dr. Theodore "Ted"-Lieutenant Col., U.S. Army and the late Jack-Lieutenant U.S. Army, loving grandfather of Aron Plucinski, Joshua (Pamela) Plucinski, Molly Plucinski, and great-grandfather of Nicholas Plucinski. Many years of service as a machinist at Borg Warner. Longtime member of Sacred Heart Holy Name Society and Fun Club. Visitation Wednesday, 3 to 9 p.m., at Palos-Gaidas Funeral Home, 11028 S. Southwest Hwy. (7700W), Palos Hills. Funeral Thursday, 9 a.m., from the funeral home to Sacred Heart Church for 10 a.m. Mass. Interment St. Adalbert Cemetery. In Gene's memory, please make donations to St. John of God Retirement and Care Center, 2468 S. St. Andrews Pl., Los Angeles, CA 90018. Gene was my next-door neighbor, friend and confidante for 15 years. I do and will miss him. He was a true "salt-of-the-earth" man, friend and great guy. My condolonces to Ginny & Dan. Oliver
