Mary Ann, we are indeed sorry to hear of Genes passing. You have both been great friends and of course Genes partner for many years in the 1st district. We often talk about you and I listen to the many stories about the good times they had while protecting the Windy City. He is at rest in Gods hands. Our prayers and thoughts are with you and the family.

My deepest condolences to the entire Konow family. In 1962 as a rookie police officer, I met Gene while we were both assigned to the First District. I will never forget his kindness and willingness to help the new officers. I have not seen Gene in almost forty years but I will always remember his bright, round smiling face.May he rest in peace for he deserves an eternity of comfort.
