WWII Army Veteran, dearly beloved husband of Joan, formerly, Bernatowicz (nee Gryzb) for 21 years, and the late Dolores (nee Kujawa) for 34 years; cherished father of Sandra (Michael) Levato, loving stepfather of Mark (Linda) Berny, Karen (John) Sheehan, and Susan (the late Kevin) Nelson; proud grandpa of Amie, Kevin, Kenneth, Christopher, Stacy, Nicole, Ryan, Daniel, Jamie, Mackenzie and the late Kelsey (his angel); great-grandpa of Laina and Parker; fond brother of Ted (Donna) and Joann Decker; uncle and a great friend to many. Funeral Tuesday 9:00 AM from Pomierski & Son F.H., 1059 W. 32nd St. to St. Mary of Perpetual Help Church for 9:30 Mass. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation Monday 2 to 9 p.m. Life member of VFW Bridgeport Post #5079, American Legion McKinley Post #231, 3rd Degree K.of C. Archbishop Quigley Council IL #2428 Outside Guard & 3 yr Trustee, K. of C. Seniors, and Wilson Seniors. 773-927-6424.

Dad, I miss you so very much. I know you will always be with me. I just miss being able to see you, talk with you & most of all , hug you. I hope you are having a great time in heaven -- no more sickness or pain . I love you.I am so proud to be your daughter & to have had such an amazing Dad !! xoxo
