My condolences.

I remember back in the early 50's when my grandma, Hattie Field Lemke and her brother William Field, his wife Eva and their daughter Relma Field Dumond took me along to visit Harold and his family in Taycheedah. I remember crowding into the back seat of that car. Uncle Bill, Aunt Eva and Relma would come to Wisconsin from Connecticut to visit during the summer. Relma was a school teacher there. Of course the Fields were from Stevens Point originally, but Relma and her husband did a "reverse" migration back east to Connecticut. My grandma and her brother were half siblings to Phil Field who was Harold's maternal grandfather. Myrtle Field Van Gorder was the daughter of whom we referred to as "Uncle Phil and Aunt Clara". Harold's sister Lucy Mafredas was close in age to my mother, Ruth Lemke Tessner and they were friends all their lives. That generation is all gone.
