Jans, Esther Nelson (nee Bulwa), 91, beloved wife of the late Herbert Nelson and devoted wife of the late Louis Jans, loving mother of Fern (Robert) Kravets and Nancy (Harvey) Margolis, cherished grandmother of Brenda Clarke, Lisa (Steven) Columbus, Howard Kravets, Michael (Aimee) Kravets, Heather (Glen) Schwaber and Bradley (Ariel) Margolis, adored great-grandmother of Andrew, Jason, Jamie, Adam, Joshua, Zachary, Ethan, OrLev, Re'ut, Yishai, Hodaya, and Isabel, dear sister of Blanche (the late Seymour) Weber and Sheldon (Bunny) Bulwa and the late Irving (the late Shirley) Bulwa, fond niece of Myrtle Kaplan and loving aunt and cousin of many. Graveside Services Tuesday afternoon (please call Chicago Jewish Funerals for time of service) at Rosemont Park Cemetery, 6758 W. Addison, Chicago. In lieu of flowers memorials in her name to Midwest Palliative and Hospice CareCenter, 2050 Claire Ct., Glenview, IL 60025 or the American Cancer Society, 820 Davis Street, Suite 400, Evanston, IL 60201 would be appreciated. Esther was a kind and caring person. Her home was a lovely place to visit when I was growing up, and she welcomed me with open arms. Esther always wanted to know all about my family and I thought that was so special. I know that she will be missed.
