Estella Thomas Obituary

Thomas, Estella Mae, age 81, of Beavercreek Township, OH, passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2013. She was born in Newark, OH on September 7, 1931 to John "Fred" and Hattie Bell (Von Nostrand) Forsythe, who preceded her in death. Estella was also preceded in death by her husband, T/SGT Arthur Lee Thomas, Sr, on January 4, 2001, to whom she was married to on June 5, 1949 in Newark, OH, a grandson, Kyle Vincent Thomas in June of 2001 and her sister, Jenni Marie DeMooy. She is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, Arthur Lee and Joyce Thomas, Jr., of Frederickstown, OH, John G. and Cynthia Thomas, of Beavercreek Township, OH; her daughter and son-in-law, Sandra S. and Thomas J. Brown, of Jacksonville, FL; three grandchildren, Brian Lee and wife, Sherry Thomas, , Jeffrey and wife, Amber Brown, Stacey Lynn and husband, Shawn Usman, all of Reynoldsburg, OH; 11 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; a nephew, Robert DeMooy and a niece, Bev Merrick. Mrs. Thomas was a member of the Spinning Road Baptist Church, TOPS OH 198 and was a former member of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church in East Liverpool, OH. She retired in 1992 from J.C. Penney after 19 years of service. Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, May 10, 2013, at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-BEAVERCREEK CHAPEL, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Road at Grange Hall Road, Beavercreek, OH with Pastor Scott Goodman officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the services on Friday. Graveside services and interment will be held 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 11, 2013, at the Glen Rest Memorial Estate, 8029 East Main Street, Reynoldsburg, OH. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to either the Cancer Society or the Spinning Road Baptist Church in memory of Estella.
