Dear Friends of Ernie,
I appreciate all of your kind words and memories shared with us during the wake and funeral and from cards and notes that keep arriving. Even the notes from some friends and former co-workers who did not know my Dad are true gifts and help me know how much each of you mean to me. Thank you.
I feel so lucky to have had a father like my Dad. As I said during the eulogy, if you can think of one word that reminds you of Dad or what he taught you that will help keep his spirit alive every day. I think of the word "cherish" the written word and every day. One of the words so many have shared with us to describe Dad is "Perseverance". I agree. Thanks again for your love, support and being Ernie's friend. I count you as my friend too. Love, Blythe J. McGarvie

Please accept my deepest sympathy on the death of your father. I am sure all of you are very proud of his accomplishments. From what I read, he was a great man and did his part to make this city and country what it is today.
I worked for Blyth at Kraft Foods in the late 80's. I admired her very much and I'm sure her father was very proud of her success.
In adition to my sympathy, Betty Mitchell (Retired - Word Processing) sends her condolences.
Sincerely, Madeline Moriarty (Retired)
