Ernie was one of the most likable guys I ever met on the job. His memory always brings a smile to my face as I recall the fun we had at the 024th district and the time he helped me when I really needed a friend. I miss him. My prayers are with his sweet girls.

I'm so sorry to hear the news. Cindy and Cheryl you must be devastated. Cindy you have a heart of gold and your fathers strong will, bravery and determination will live on in his beautiful grandchildren Lexi, Shane and Dillon. I hope he is given a true heroes farewell by the CPD. His daughters were always so proud of the fact that their Daddy was a policeman and protected our city. I say that is why Ernie's girls turned out so well. May you fly with angels Mr. B. my heart is breaking for your children and police family.

I'm sure you will be missed by your beloved daughters Cindy and Cheryl and all your grandchildren Lexi, Shane, Dillon, Jenny and Brianna. God has taken their papa away too soon. Peace be with you.

Ernie was one of the most fun policemen I ever had the pleasure of knowing. His daughters and wife are some of the best women I know.
God bless this family.
I will miss him.
