I went to school with Eric for many years, and I always thought he was a wonderful and caring person. I will always remember him for his great personality and sense of humor. To Eric and his family, god bless you.

As Eric’s Aunt Helen, I have known him since birth and witnessed the many chapters in his life: Baptism, First Communion, Confirmation, graduations and recently, his marriage to Demi. The baby shower for little Kylie was the last happy event that I saw and visited with Eric. Later, as he sat beside a group of Purcell relatives, he beamed of how he loved being a policeman, and looked forward to being a new father. I have been close to his maternal grandparents, Dale and Lawrence Purcell, and have seen their love for him and Eric’s love for them. I also attended his parents, Dariel and Gene’s wedding, and saw their many sacrifices and loving guidance that made Eric the fine young man that he became. I have watched him grow over twenty-three years into such a remarkable individual that it makes one wonder as to “Why” he was taken so soon.

To the family of Eric
i didnt know Eric, but please know that i am very sorry for your loss. i know how it feels to lose someone, for i have lost my mother a year and a half ago. my advise is keep your head up, and time will heal even though it takes a long time. A friend gave me a word of advise that i will share with you, "A PERSON NEVER DIES AS LONG AS THEY ARE REMEMBERED." Eric is a few graves away from my mother Carol Bullaro, and i give you my word to the family and friends i will take care of him as i do for my mother and everyone around her.
again i am very sorry for your loss, and i hope you take this knowing that. remember the happy times for that is what he would want you to remember.
a friend,
Jonathan Wisniewski

Dear Dariel and Gene,
Please accept our sincere sympathies on the loss of your dear son, Eric. Michael just telephoned us with the sad news. We remember what a wonderful young man Eric was. We enjoyed watching him play basketball and baseball during his grade school years. You were always there to see him play.
We will be praying for you and Eric's family.

I lost touch with Eric about a year after highschool, yet he was always in my thoughts. He was a great friend and will be missed very much. My only regret was not getting to spend more time with him. His memory will live on forever. My deepest sympathy goes out to his wife and family.

Eric, You have always been an honest person. I regret your premature passing. I wish that I could see how successful we had become in our lives. I now regret not keeping in touch after our graduation. I hope that your wife and daughter share your virtues and honesty.
