Dear Diane and Dan,
I just now heard of your sweet mother Emily's death. My mom Alice adored her.
I recall with pleasure the many times we visited at her various homes, beginning on the south side of Chicago to Throop Street, Elston Avenue, Hirsch Street and finally Cicero.
I also recall that terrible fire on Throop and also remember with fondness your dad's tiny TV with the magnifying glass in front of the picture tube.
When your parents owned that cottage in Elkhorn, my mother couldn't wait to travel there with them, and even had her bag packed a day in advance.
I did not know she moved to Wisonsin since I am living in Tennessee.
I notified by e-mail your old neighbor Tom Wade who wrote back to say much of what I am saying here.
My heart goes out to the both of you in your time of sorrow.
Your old friend, Dan Michalski

Emily,
We were neighbors for over 20 years. You watched me grow from a young child into an adult. You were a very sweet lady and I will miss you very much.
God speed Emily, until we meet again

Diane: I don't believe you will remember me but my name is Debbie Weglarz Moye. My parents took your dog Dutchess many years ago. I remember your Mom and have many fond memories of her. Sorry to hear of your loss. Debbie
