Emanuel Carter Obituary

Emanuel E. Carter February 16, 1921 - May 12, 2013 Born February 16, 1921 in Fort Cobb, Oklahoma. Passed away May 12, 2013 in Bakersfield, California. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 54 years and son Elbert Eugene. He was also preceded in death by his parents Annie and William E. Carter. He is survived by his sister Ruthe White; brother Ancil Carter; daughters Janita Taylor and Barbara Gross; and son Ronald Carter; 6 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 12 great great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He came from a large family of 14 children. Emanuel loved his family dearly and loved the Lord Jesus Christ. He devoted many years ministering in various churches and spent many hours in prayer and reading the bible. Not only did he feed his soul with the word but he also enjoyed feeding his body with wonderful foods! He dearly loved tending his horse and cattle and farming. Funeral services will be held at Delano Mortuary,707 Browning Road, on May 21, at 10 a.m. and viewing will be on Monday, May 20 from 4 to 7 p.m. Interment will follow at Delano North Kern Cemetery. Donations may be made to Alzheimer's Disease Association of Kern County ADAKC, 5500 Olive Drive, Building One, Bakersfield,Ca 93308.

Services entrusted to Delano Mortuary, a Dignity Memorial Provider.
