Uncle El-

Thank you for the love, understanding, and emotional support you provided me through my life. To be so blessed to have you as a "father" was such a gift from God. I loved the jokes we played on each other. The way you laughed and were always teasing me. You were so very good to Aunt Velva and all of the family, we will miss you so. Thank you for the things you shared with me and for those that you taught me. I will always love you more and will hold you in my heart. Love- Debbi

Be Still

Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.

Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.

If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.

Uncle Elmer and Aunt Velva were wonderful to us even though we weren't blood relatives. Elmer was always cracking jokes, always smiling, always making us feel at ease like we could never do any wrong. By his actions we knew they loved and cared for us, as he did all the members of his family. We will miss him greatly.
