Lewis, Ella B. The beloved wife of James Robert Lewis, entered eternal rest on July 25, 2008 after a sudden heart attack at Mt. Sinai Hospital. She had been a resident at Kenwood Health Care Center for the past 4 months as a dementia patient. Born October 19, 1921 to the late Gus Holmes and Hessie Turnley Holmes in Florence, AL. Ella is survived by her loving husband James Robert (Honey) Lewis of Chicago, IL; one sister, Eula B. Pride of Florence, AL; one brother Willie B. Holmes of Florence, AL and host of relatives and friends. Ella was preceded in death by one sister and five brothers. Ella retired as an RN Supervisor at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, IL in 1979 after 25 years of service. Visitation will be Thursday, July 31, 2008, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., at Leak & Sons Funeral Home; 7838 S. Cottage Grove Ave., Chicago, IL, 773-846-6567.
