Jackson, Ella
Ella Jackson, age 83, long time Chicago resident passed peacefully on September 22, 2021 at home with loved ones near. Ella was an Alumi of Forrestville Elementary School (1952) and DuSable High School (1956), where she served years later as their Alumni Chapter`Secretary. Ella enjoyed a career at A T&T Communications in 1965 until her retirement in 1991. Not one to be idle, she began another career at Perkins. Wolf, and McDonnell, INC. in 1993. until her final retirement in 2008. Ella was a very loving and active person, a devoted Mother to Daughter Kimberly, Sons Karl and Calvin, Special Grand Mother and Great Grandmother. Sister to Walter S.Hicks (wife Grace B. Hicks)who preceded her in death, and Melvin Hicks (wife Carolyn). Memorial Services to be held on October 1, 2021. Location: Leak and Sons Funeral Home, 18400 S. Pulaski Rd. Country Club Hills, Illinois. beginning at 1pm for family and friends. Memorial following at 1:30pm

Words could never express the sadness of Ella's passing. She was the world to her family and to the AT&T world! She was one classy lady. I will always remember her with great fondness. It is not often that you meet a woman of this style and elegance! Her essence will live on forever. Rest on Peace Ella!
