Elizabeth Santacaterina Obituary

Santacaterina, Elizabeth M. "Lee" (nee Vitali), age 94, longtime resident of Chicago's Roseland/ Kensington neighborhood, passed away February 2, at her home in Schererville, IN, beloved wife of the late Mario Santacaterina, loving mother of Marion (late Charles) Lo Verde, proud grandmother of Deborah (Anthony) Frogameni, Charles (Tracy) Lo Verde III, Darlyne Klages, Diane (Jeffery) Gross, Tom (Mary Sheila) Lo Verde, and Dawn (Scott) Brancheau, fond great-grandmother of thirteen and great-great-grandmother of one, Sister of the late Adele (late Pete) LaBarbara, Pete (late Ida) Vitale, and Richard (Dolly) Vitali, dear aunt of many nieces and nephews. Along with her late husband, Lee had owned and operated the Kensington Liquors and Southside Restaurant Supply Company for over 50 years. Longtime member of St. Anthony of Padua Church and past member of St. Anthony Auxiliary and Cedar Lake Lady Lions. Resting at Panozzo Bros. Funeral Home, 530 W. 14th St (Rt 30, 3 blks E. of Western Ave.), Chicago Heights on Friday, February 6, from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral services Saturday, 10:00 a.m. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Worth. 708-481-9230

My thoughts and prayer are with you and your loved ones at this time. It was an honor to care for Elizabeth at St. Margaret's hospital in Dyer (I was one of the nursing assistants). May the Lord gently wrap His arms around you with love and comfort.
