Elizabeth Moutoussamy Obituary

Moutoussamy, Elizabeth (Hunt) age 83, daughter of Charles and Annie Hunt and the last survivor of ten children, died peacefully on Monday, February 13th, 2006 at Montgomery Place Retirement Home, Chicago, Illinois. Surrounded in love by her many family members, caregivers and friends, she will be remembered as "Sweet Squeaky" a talented and enormously gifted singer. She was a graduate of DuSable High School and the Harrington Institute of Design both of Chicago. Elizabeth volunteered her services to some of her favorite charities, The Chicago Symphony, United Charities of Chicago and many more. She devoted herself mainly to her late husband, John W. Moutoussamy. She was a devoted mother to her three children, John Jr. (deceased), Claude Louis and Jeanne Marie, a devoted grandmother to her five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A cherished aunt, sister, sister-in-law and Godmother and a blessing to her many friends. With her talent for music and a unique voice she was often requested to perform at events. All of us will forever remember her favorite offering of the Ave Maria. It and she will remain in our hearts forever. Visitation, Friday, February 17, 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral service Saturday, February 18th, 11:45 a.m., at the A. A. Rayner & Sons Funeral Home, 318 East 71st St., Chicago, Illinois, 60619. 773-846-6133.
