September 22, 1933 – April 20, 2024
Elizabeth "Betty" Levato, nee Mecker, 90, formerly of Tinley Park, IL, passed away peacefully on Saturday April 20, 2024 in Green Valley, Arizona. Beloved wife of the late Santo "Sam" Levato. Loving Mother of Laura (Mark) Simos, Gary (Sandra) Levato, Kirk (Kat) Levato, and the late William Mackenzie. Dear Sister of the late Richard (Patricia) Mecker and sister-in-law to the late Carmen (Peggy) Levato, Joseph "Jimbo" (late Joyce) Levato, the late Gina Levato, the late Ralph (Peggy) Levato, the late Phil Levato, and John (late Sue) Levato. Proud grandmother to the late Chris Breault, Neil Mackenzie, Darren Mackenzie, Derek Levato, and Makenna Levato. Fond aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Visitation on Sunday 2:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Chapel Hill Gardens South Funeral Home, 11333 S. Central Ave Oaklawn, IL 60453. Service on Monday at 10:00 A.M. at the Salem United Church of Christ, 9717 S. Kostner Ave, Oak Lawn, IL 60453. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Salem Church of Christ in Oak Lawn, Illinois or your local Animal Humane Society.
