Schwind, Elinore M. (nee Gleason), 91, of Chicago, January 2, 2009, beloved wife of the only man she ever loved, the late William F. Schwind Sr., loving mother, best friend and confidant to her daughters Patricia (William) Taylor, Mary Elizabeth (Kevin, CPD) Brown, Kathleen Schwind, Sons, William F. Jr. (Barbara), Robert CPD ret, (Ana Luisa), Richard (Barbara), and James (Jacqueline) Schwind. Granny/Gran and friend to 16, Great-Granny to eight, best treat giver to the "four legged fleabag" Chloe, great niece, cousin, sister-in-law, aunt, and good neighbor of many, preceded in death by parents, Edward and Elsie (nee Hetzel) Gleason, brothers Edward and Robert Gleason. Visitation Wednesday, 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Drake & Son Funeral Home, 5303 N. Western Avenue, Chicago. Funeral Thursday, 9:15 a.m., from funeral home to St. Jerome Church, 1709 W. Lunt Avenue, Chicago, Mass 10:00 a.m. Interment All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Mercy Home for Boys and Girls, Attention Father Scott Donahue, 1140 W. Jackson Blvd, Chicago, IL. 60607-2906, would be greatly appreciated. 773-561-6874

Bob and family, I am sorry to learn of the end of your Mom's life. She and your Dad enriched the earth with the family they created. We will thank God for her long life at the Police Mass on Sunday, and we'll remember your family as you try to adjust to life without her now.
