just wondering if we are kin

There is so much that I could say about my Uncle Elijah. He was always my Dad's best friend and big brother and I still can remeber how excited Dad would get just looking for him to come home to visit him. He was a very dear person to me, when I was so sick and staying with my sister Carolyn and going to the Cleveland Clinic everyday he would call and talk to me everyday to see what those doctors were doing for me. Then, while I was there I visited his church and he when up front and sung a song to just me and I'll never forget that as long as I live and he gave me the courage to keep going forward not backwards and that was three years ago.He was just a wonderfull man to know and I am proud to say that he was my UNCLE.
Rest in Peace,
Love, Wanda

My father used to say that he had lost my mother, after thinking on this for a time he began to speak of her loss differently. He no longer referred to her as someone lost for he was conviced that he knew exactly where she was, and when you know where something is then it is not lost. My mother Naoma was a Christian, she left this world in the sure and certain hope of a resurrection unto life eternal through our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. His promise to go away and prepare a place that where he is there we may also be was fulfilled for her on the evening of Easter Sunday 1989. She is not lost, she is in that prepared place. My father Elijah joined her there on 11 Dec 2000. The death certificate says 12 Dec 2000, but my Father left this world as I flew home from Dallas, Texas before I could reach his side. We were to take him home from the hospital on Dec 11, indeed he went home but as planned by his Saviour and not by us. I thank God for that because to go home with us was to continue in suffering from the debilitating affliction that had overcome him, going home as he did brought him sweet release and a new body. For if this earthly tabernacle be dissolved we have another one already waiting. My Dad is not lost, I know right where he is.
Farewell my father but not for long, by Gods grace will I meet you and Naoma in that prepared place.
Your Son,
Robert
