ELEANORE CURRY Obituary

Curry, Eleanore May (Semian), born May 30, 1936 passed on to be with the Lord on June 22, 2012. Born in Meadeville, PA, Mrs. Curry passed away at St. Jude Hospital in Fullerton, CA due to a massive stroke. Ellie (as her friends fondly called her) grew up outside of Meadville at her parents', Michael and Susan's, roadside store/gas station/restaurant. She lived in several cities in the surrounding area until 1963 when she and her husband made a bold move across the United States to Fullerton, CA where she has lived for the past 49 years.

Ellie suffered the early passing of three of her five children during her life: a daughter, Susan and two sons, Shawn (1993) and Philip (2011). She is survived by her husband, Ronald Philip Curry of 59 years (as of June 23, 2012); her son, Ronald Edmond Curry; her son, Steven Michael Curry, and her brothers, Michael and Robert; her daughter-in-law, Kim, and grandson, Christopher.

One of Ellie's great loves was music. She was an accomplished singer and piano player, very active in the St. Mary's Church Choir for over 30 years, and well known as a servant in her church. Prior to retirement she raised four boys, maintained the office for Curry X-Ray Inc. (for more than 20 years), and diligently managed the home front. She was truly a "super mom".

Eleanore was a loving, caring mother, wife, and friend who valued family and relationships immensely. She is with Jesus our Lord now, however she will be sorely missed by those of us who remain on this earth. God bless you Mom. We love you.

A mass will be held in Eleanore Curry's honor Saturday, July 7 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Fullerton, CA.
