Eleanor Schmidt Obituary

Eleanor made me laugh the day that I called her to let her know that I was sending flowers to Paula when she was in the hospital. "She said, she don't need no flowers, she needs friends!" Meaning get your but over to the hosptial and spend time with your friend and forget the flowers. She was right, Paula needed friends, and that is exactly what I gave to her. I only wish that I knew how sick Eleanor was, I would have done the same for her. Linda and Margie, forgive me, I didn't even know that your mother passed away until last week. Please except my condolences and prayers. I was very saddened by the news. Your mom was a great gal, and she was always so nice to me. God Bless your family.

My mother was a wonderful, caring, fun woman and it was very hard to see all the fun go out of her life this last year. The morning of the day she died she said "Girls I have to tell you something; I want to go home today". I believe she's safely home now with all those who passed away before her. I cry because I miss her but it's a comfort to know she is in no pain. If you have a touching or funny story about mom please post it here - Margie and I would enjoy reading it.
