Eleanor Olsen Obituary

Olsen, Eleanor F. (nee Finkler) Age 93, died May 27, 2015. She was born to Julia and George Finkler, October 25, 1921 on Lac Courte Oreilles (Chippewa) reservation in Couderay, Wisconsin. Eleanor was the beloved wife of the late Willard J. Olsen and devoted mother to Donald (Jacqueline), Julie (Thomas), Veronica (Terrence), William (Adele), Howard (Barbara), Jean (Howard), Michael, Kenneth and proud grandmother to Steven (dear friend Katie), Theresa (John), Angela (Jamey), Joseph (dear friend Sylvia), the late Terrence, Christopher (Ayla), Howie (Julie), Shane (Terri), Patrick, Jonathan (Candace), Heidi (Isai) Hannah and May Qing, and proud great-grandmother to Madeline, Brielle, Katherine, Christyna, Hunter, Ella, Daniel, Garrett, Kaelyn, Xylia, Savannah and Michael. Eleanor completed a full year of training as a WWII army nurse, and later in life as an empty nester, earned Data Processing and Word Processing Operator certificates. Eleanor enjoyed sewing, crafting, gardening, cooking, dining out, and trips to Wisconsin. She kept the faith as evidenced in her deeds, the time spent in daily prayer and a lifelong support of the Catholic missions. She had a faith and devoutness she passed on to her children, for which they will always be grateful. She was a longtime parishioner of St. Albert's where she led the daily rosary and St. Bede's Catholic Church. Visitation Monday 3:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Tuesday 9:00 a.m. from the Robert J.
