I was deeply disturbed when a recent birthday card sent to Elaine was returned to me. How sad to then search the obituaries and find her notice.
I was referred to Elaine for career counseling over twenty years ago. After successfully transitioning into a new field (social work), Elaine and I became both friends and professional cohorts. We shared countless dinners, the most recent of which was at Jacky's, a mutual personal favorite.
Now both the restaurant and Elaine are gone. I will miss her unflagging support and generous spirit. She was a rare friend...

Elaine lived in the same condo building as my son, Brian. She was truly one of the most positive, kind, and compassionate people that I have met. She was a ray of sunshine every time I spoke with her. I will always remember her warmth and the joy and love that emanated from her. What a blessing she was to all who encountered her!
I am saddened by the loss of her physical presence and will miss seeing her when I visit Brian. Elaine had something about her whole being that made her an absolutely exceptional person. Even writing this is bothersome because I feel an emptiness inside.
I extend my deepest sympathy to all her family members and can only imagine the loss that you must feel not having her with you physically. I am sure that you have many wonderful memories to treasure and will often visualize her beautiful smile. I wish that I had known her longer, but I can imagine that she would only want people to be joyful that she is now with her love, Murray.
Sincerely, Christine Keran

My husband, Jerry, and I knew Elaine mostly through our friends, who are part of her reading group. We would see her at some group events. Also, Jerry, went to see her a few times for career counseling.
Every encounter we had with Elaine was warm and cheery. I felt like we were old friends. What a wonderful gift of happiness she spread around herself.
Our condolences to all of you. Elaine will be remembered always.
Love,
Gail & Jerry Baccetti
