Dear Katie, Ann, Tim and the Poland Family.
I am very saddened to learn of Eileen's passing.
Last December while in Chicago I was able to see Eileen and as usual she was cheerful and happy.
Being around her was always a uplifting experience. No matter what was happening in her life at any given time she was always positive in her outlook. That attitude carried over to me and to others whose lives she touched.
I truly hope that it will be of some consolation to the Poland family that Eileen will be missed by many people who share in your sorrow.
I will remember Eileen's gentle nature as well as her smile and her laugh.
My condolences to the Poland 's.

With her fiery red hair and cheerful disposition, Eileen has always been like a ray of sunshine. I will miss laughing with her at the LF events. She was one of the nicest people I ever met.

I was very saddened to learn of Eileen's death. I was a classmate of her's at Little Flower H.S. and we also took the "L" to Downtown Chicago each day when we were Seniors on the Work Study Program. It was those few months that I got to know the real Eileen and I'm glad I did. In the time I knew Eileen she was always a very sincere and loving person who always had everyone else's best interests at heart. I hope that she will be at peace. My husband and I would like to express our deepest sympathies to her family at this time. She will always be remembered fondly - - it was just too short of a time for her here.
