What a special lady she was! She had the unique ability to make every person feel special and loved. She treated everyone as one of her own. I will always remember the way she made me feel like a part of the Doran family. My thoughts and prayers remain with all of you. God is so lucky to have her. I'm sure she's keeping busy shopping!
Love to all,

Dear Doran Clan:
I was so deeply sorry to hear about your loss, and you all have been in my constant thoughts and prayers. Mrs. Doran was truly one of the most genuine, loving people I have ever known. She had an inspiring outlook on life and family, and she affected everyone she met. She will be deeply missed.
With much love and prayers,

Dear Grandma,
I don't think I ever told you enough how much I love you. You were so much more than a grandmother to me. You were a friend and the most wonderful role model I could ever ask for. The mere fact that we all will continue to fight over who was your favorite for years to come, is a testament to your amazing ability to make every single person around you feel special and loved. This is truly the most wonderful gift in the world. I promise to help look after everyone, and I will spend the rest of my life trying to make you proud.
Love,
Mary (the real favorite)

How lucky am I to have Aunt Patt and Uncle Ray in my life? When I was thirsty, there was always an RC, when I was hungry, there was a kitchen of "whatever", when I was tired, one of the boys had to find other arrangements. When I was scared at day camp, the door was not locked (good thing, I was often looking for away out of going to Ridge). When I hurt, Aunt Patt was always there. When I would call and say, "hi, do you know who this is?" her response was "it can only be one of three, and you don't sound like Brian" (I'm from the East coast). When my cousins teased me about my accent, she always made sure I felt special.
When Fr. Gavin asked the family to post our thoughts here, I think he knew there is a healing power in writing a final good bye. I Love You Aunt Patt.

I will always remember my Aunt Patt for her kindness and generous nature. She was always the one you wanted to sit next to at a party because she had the best stories. I remember being at the Doran's house on holidays when we were kids and we would put on different acts that I'm sure went on and on, but she always cheered us on and told us how talented we all were. She was fiercely protective of her family and loved everyone. I will Miss Aunt Patt very much and cherish the happy memories of her. Mari (Galvin) Elzinga

To the Dorans, Iwas so sorry to hear about your mom. She gave me my first break into the babysitting business, YIKES! She then gave the best she had, when I was a teacher. What a remarkable role model mom. She loved you all and no one could tell her different. It made it easy at Parent conference time, she told me what to say. Then over the years she became my friend. A true Golfin Gal, we only worried about the prizes at the banquet, not the score. I will miss her at Ken's when the "Mr.s" gave us the ditch, which we secretly enjoyed, and our occasional visits at County Fair. Love you, Sheila Mcnamara/Brackin
