Jaymes

Hey Nanny
It's Jaymes. I know it's been 13 years but I wish you were here to see me grow up. I'm working on a family project for school, I'm a junior now, and I found this site. I go by Poppy's name now, the middle name mom gave me. I'm actually writing this during history class, but we aren't learning anything particularly interesting.
I miss you. I think you would like who I've become.
Sorry for touching your face at your funeral, I'd never seen a dead person before. Is being dead fun? Don't answer that, I'll find out eventually.
ANYWAY, Love you Nanny. <3 (that's a heart)

My Aunty Eileen was a whirlwind of glitter and sparkle. She had an undeniable presence and was always the centre of attention, and she loved it. She was the best Aunty I could have wished for, always had me in stitches with her little stories about the past and present. We were always giggling and talking about boys, make-up and girly stuff. She had a zest for life and lived it to the full. I am so glad I was a part of her life and that she had a loving family around her always. Her family and friends were all very important to her and she always did all she could for them. It’s a shame she never got to visit England one last time as I know she was desperate to. I shall miss her lots but will always remember that cheeky smile the twinkling eyes she had like my Dad’s. Sleep well my lovely angel and I’ll be seeing you …. xxx

To me Loverly Mum. We will miss you so much. Thank you for being the best Mum in the whole world and for filling our days and hearts with laughter, silliness and fun. But most of all thank you for all the love and support you gave us. You were the best. Such a bright shining star in our lives. I know you are with Dad now as I heard the thunderstorms on Thursday! What a reunion that must have been! Love you forever and ever, Lisa xox

Aunt Eileen always had a smile and a hug for me whenever I saw her, no matter what was going on in her life. I have many great memories with Lisa and John. I miss the thought of all of our parents being together (Barney and Joyce/Pat and Eileen). Time goes on and now we have to make new memories. My thoughts are with all of you at this time. Love Shelagh

I was deeply saddened to hear the loss of Auntie Eileen amd my thoughts and prayers are with everyone within the family at this time. She will always be remembered for being larger than life with an infectious smile, jovial sense of humour, her laughter that filled the room and a really big hug - for those people whose lives she touched she will never be forgotten - Love - Chico - Deeping St James, England.

Dearest Nanny,
You were an amazing lady and well revered by all who knew you! I only wish we had been able to meet in person. I feel as if I know you from the stories and photos that Sarah has shared with us. I know without a doubt that you have influenced Sarah greatly in her life and part of the woman she is today is because of you.

My love and thoughts are with Nanny's family.

I love you my dear friends, Sarah and Caleigh.....hugs!!

Nanny, You are loved and will be missed greatly!

In Love and Light,

I came into Eileen's life six months ago as an Odyssey volunteer and walked away with a friendship that was as special and unique as Eileen herself.

Her wit, charm, intelligence, compassion and kindness never went unnoticed and what a blessing to have called her "my friend." I'm a better person for having known her and I will miss our weekly gab fest and visits.

To Eileen's family, you were loved and adored. I saw pictures of each one of you and heard countless stories that brought Eileen such happiness. I feel as if I know you though I only met Lisa and John in person.

May God bless you with her memory and comfort you at this difficult time. She will be missed by all but never forgotten.

Continue to spread your angel wings over us, Eileen!

Your friend,

She was a sweet, one-of-a-kind lady. I wish I'd known her better. She will most certainly be missed. She was the kind of lady you don't even have to know that well to know that she lit up the room whenever she was there. My best to your family in this difficult time.

Dear Nanny, it was a pleasure to know you. Before I ever met you, I loved you from the delightful stories Sarah would share with us. After I met you, I loved you more. You were a shining light in the lives of everyone who knew you, and you brought me and my children joy every time we saw you. You will be missed. Best of luck to you on your next journey; they're lucky to have you. As for the rest of us, our lives will be a little dimmer, until we meet again.
