Dear Joanne,

I wish I knew just what to say to you at a time like this. I want you to know that I'm thinking of you and praying for you. I did not know Edward but from reading the guest book entries it sounds like he was a wonderful and smart friend, husband, and relative and made people laugh a lot. I'm so sorry that this happened. Your old friend from Spiegel.

Ed will be sorely missed. He will be missed for the love he had for you, Joanne, the love he had for his work, his wicked sense of humor, and more reasons than I can count. I wish him happiness in whatever comes next.

My Dearest Joanne, I am going through this with you, and I know that I know that your sweet Edward went from Life to LIFE and is alive with our LORD and FATHER and is Dancing before HIM with joy!! Edward is alive with GOD, meditate on that until it becomes reality to you, then you will have such Peace and Joy. Because where our GOD is, there is only LIFE and no death!!!

I am praying that our LORD holds you in HIS tight embrace and strengthen you, and turn your tears into JOY; for this is THE CRY OF HIS HEART BECAUSE HE SOO LOVES YOU.

Things happen that we don't understand, but HE said continue to TRUST ME for My Ways are HIGHER than your ways and MY Thoughts are HIGHER than your thoughts; blessed is the man that puts his trust in HIM for there you will find HIS Love, Peace and unspeakable joy, and green Pastures.

Psalm 30:11
You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; You have put off my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness,

Psalm 16:11
You will show me the path of life;In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.

Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

I Love You my Friend

Dear Joanne,

Ed lived and breathed his work: "Welcome back my friends to a show that never ends…" I know this was one of his favorite tracks owing to AGS&R 35th Anniversary. This verse epitomized his work as I believed "the show would never end." But fate has dictated otherwise.

Our first collaborative effort was a smokin' dog & pony show which won the Seally account for B&J Adv. We knew it was a creative success when Ed re-racked the slides for an encore presentation! After that we both rested for 2 days since we worked continuously for 3 days sans sleep.

You should also know 2 things: Ed was a brother to me; not an affectation but true in every respect. Since I never had a "real" brother, Ed filled that space flawlessly! More so, he ministered me on how to reciprocate his brotherly posture.

Secondly, he shared that my late wife, Christine, made him laugh. And it was certainly true. There were copious collective guffaws between them before she would eloquently excuse herself to allow us our space. She knew of our brotherhood too. You possessed this knowledge & eloquence, also. A nod to sainthood for you both.

Lastly, and most fitting, when I clicked on the Legacy link, an ad for Bose appeared. It was hawking the latest in audio reproduction. I can only believe Ed is boning up on this ready to share its merits, flaws & possibly "knock their socks off" at the next meeting.

Be assured you and family are in my daily prayers. My door is always open for whatever you need in the days ahead. And per your request, a good ole fashioned talk when you see fit. Be well and God Bless.

Jerry
