Employed by Zenith for over 35 years, devoted father of Michael Sebastian, loving brother of the late Robert R. and the late Arthur W., dear brother-in-law of Helen Issel, beloved uncle of Edward A. (Rosemary) Sebastian, Margaret (Donald) Ostrom, William F. (Kathleen) Sebastian and Victoria (Carlos) Tonda, great-uncle to Helen, Jeffrey (Laura), Julie, Michael (Theresa) and Steven (Rachel) Sebastian and Troy and Trent Tonda, great-great-uncle of Jeffrey Sebastian and special uncle to Ray Feuerschwenger. Resting at Querhammer & Flagg Funeral Home, 500 W. Terra Cotta Ave. (Rte. 176), Crystal Lake, IL, 60014, from 4 to 9 p.m., Thursday, April 5, 2007 and Friday, April 6th, from 9:30 a.m. until the 10 a.m., Prayer service. Funeral service 10:30 a.m., Friday, at St. Thomas Catholic Church, 451 W. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery, River Grove. Memorials in his name appreciated to the Veteran's charity of the donor's choice. Info: 815-459-1760

My cousin Ed was part of my life from an early age. He took me to school when I was 5 years old until I knew the way for myself. All of us cousins were close and our families met almost every week. In summer, we picnicked at groves at small lakes around Chicago and my older cousins taught me to swim at age 4. I have fond memories of all and cousin Ed was up with the best. My husband and I and our kids moved away from Chicago more than 50 years ago and the downside was leaving family like Ed.
